Privacy

ClassPilot collects only what is needed to review public suggestions.

Last updated: 26 July 2026. This notice explains the current ClassPilot launch submission portal and private review process. It is not formal legal advice.

Who operates ClassPilot

ClassPilot is operated by Mr Ashley Brown. Privacy and data-rights requests can be sent to [email protected].

What the submission form collects

The form collects the submission type, title, description, why it may be useful, any known drawbacks, relevant subjects and phases, and any URL supplied with the suggestion.

Name, role, email address and permission to make contact are optional. The form also asks contributors to confirm that they have not included personal, sensitive or identifiable learner information.

Why this information is used

Submissions are used to review suggested online tools, learner activities, resources, education signals, corrections and feedback. The lawful basis is legitimate interests: building and maintaining a useful, human-reviewed education resource while limiting the information collected.

Contact permission

If you provide contact details and give permission, ClassPilot may contact you to clarify a submission or follow up on a correction. You can withdraw that permission by emailing [email protected].

Human review and publication

Submissions are stored for private human review. They are not automatically published. If a suggestion is later used publicly, ClassPilot should check sources, vendor claims, safety and privacy implications before publishing any judgement.

Internal review notes, categories, tags and decision status may be added by authorised ClassPilot reviewers. These notes are used to organise evidence and decide what to research, shortlist, anonymise, archive or stop pursuing.

Service providers

ClassPilot uses Cloudflare Pages, Pages Functions, D1 storage and Turnstile. Cloudflare provides hosting, database and bot-detection services. Turnstile performs browser and bot-detection checks so the form can resist spam without ClassPilot storing IP addresses or unnecessary browser details.

International processing

Cloudflare and related service processing may involve infrastructure or support outside the UK. ClassPilot does not make a residency guarantee for this launch slice.

Retention

Submission records are intended to be retained for up to twelve months for review, correction and follow-up. Contact details may be removed or anonymised while retaining the underlying problem or suggestion. Information may be deleted earlier when it is no longer required or when a valid deletion request applies.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the use of your information where those rights apply. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Learner data

Do not submit learner names, answers, school records, personal circumstances or any other personal, sensitive or identifiable learner information.
